Designing a calm bedroom for deeper rest
The bedroom is the one room that should ask nothing of you. Yet most of them are stacked with chargers, laundry, and half-read books. The fix is rarely a bigger room — it is a clearer one.
Start with the light
Warm, layered light does more for sleep than any gadget. Swap a single ceiling fixture for two low lamps and a dimmer, and the whole room settles by a few degrees.
Texture over clutter
A wool throw, a linen duvet, and one good rug carry a room further than a shelf of decor. Pick materials you want to touch and let them do the talking.
Finish with a single plant and a clear bedside surface. The goal is a room that looks finished the moment you walk in, not one waiting on a tidy-up.

Read this on the train and rearranged my bedroom the same night. The lighting tip alone was worth it.

Agreed on texture over clutter. I swapped three decor pieces for one good throw and the room finally feels finished.
